Kayla is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing individual, couple, and family counseling. She values trust, vulnerability, and collaboration as vital pieces to helping clients receive the best possible outcomes in their therapy. Kayla understands the challenges of feeling stuck and strives to meet clients where they are at in their life. A trusting and comfortable relationship with clients is prioritized in the therapeutic relationship. Kayla believes that change can occur when people are able to be vulnerable with the person they are sharing with, so it's vital that those who work with her are in a setting where they feel safe and heard. She works with her clients to process life challenges, create individualized treatment goals, and determine evidenced-based strategies for lasting solutions. As you work with Kayla, you can expect her to challenge you in ways that keep you moving towards your goals and into the next best version of you.

Kayla is the loving mother of two children, Maddox and Mila. When Kayla isn’t providing care to clients, you will typically find her roaming through the woods with her little ones with perhaps a book or two in hand and a backpack full of adventure. She enjoys simply being in nature, listening to tunes while diving into the next best project, and spending time with family and friends. She is an animal lover at heart, and firmly believes that everyone should own at least one pet. Being outdoors each and every day and connecting to her spiritual roots brings Kayla closest to feeling grounded and balanced in her life. Kayla believes in a higher being and is a follower of Jesus Christ, and she welcomes all individuals who may have similar or different worldviews.

Kayla earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2014 at the University of Saint Francis. She completed her Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Addictions in 2017.

She is independently licensed in Indiana, License # 34008764A, and Ohio, License #I.2002219

Kayla has over 10 years of experience working in social work, including four years of mental health counseling. She has worked with a variety of populations in local community agencies, including Parkview Cancer Institute and Veteran Affairs Healthcare System in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and she has also worked in the private practice setting. She has experience working with children as young as three years old up to older adults. Kayla has worked collaboratively with individuals and couples who are experiencing life-altering circumstances. She works with individuals dealing with a variety of issues, with a specialty in working with individuals who are struggling with ADHD, trauma and mood disorders, including mood disorders that occur within the perinatal period for families. Her experience working with individuals with a history of attachment wounds and complex trauma has given her a broad capacity for providing trauma-informed care.
